Pre-Result Jitters

Vacations have almost come to end…and the result is just a few days away…
I never thought of my vacations would end…but now the last three days are going pretty tense…25th June 2009 are our SSC results… My vacations were really awesome… I had a lot of fun…but now as the result date is coming closer and closer I’m getting tense…actually not only tense but eager, terrified etc. etc…This whole week I had been thinking of results…and not only I am eager….all my friends seem to be eager…! I am actually getting butterflies in my stomach…
Just imagine…on 25th June…everybody would gather in school to collect their mark sheet and would be telling their percentage to everyone…! I just hope everyone passes with flying colors and achieve their target…! Few of my friend are confused that what stream to take…even I was confused but now I’ve made up my mind…suddenly I’m feeling
All these years of school seem to have gone so fast…really school days were fun and an unforgettable experience…I never thought that school would finally come to an end…now it’s the time to depart from our friends…but we can always stay in touch…and as it is said…All good things come to an end…!
So better be prepared and all geared up for 25th June…the D-day…!

The Sangla Valley Trek...

School trips are always fun and worth a chance…My trek to the sangla valley was one of its kind……

Our trip was scheduled on 3rd May, 2009…..we were asked to  report in the school at 8 am…..We had a small prayer service and then we left for panvel railway station to board our train…….All the parents were waving to their children as if they were going for some ten years…..! Our train (Kochuvelli-Chandigarh- Sampark Kranti Express) was supposed to arrive at 11:35 am………but as we all know the irregularity in the timings of our trains………our train arrived at 12…….! Then we boarded our trains and sat in the compartments which were allotted to us. I was fortunate enough that I got a compartment with my classmates (Rahul, Suraj, Atharva, Mihir, Saurabh)………..

The train travel was boring and fun too……I know what antithesis cal statement…………! The train food was awfully bad…….! I had a lot fun in the train with greeshma, shreya, sana, ruchita……etc………..I and ruchita had completely gone crazy…..we were laughing for any stupid thing……..! Then we finally reached Chandigarh…….we were taken  to some place……….a-mini-seashore-look-alike-place……..the only difference was that it was more huge, clean……..there was even a mechanical bull there………we roamed there for about one hour…..clicked pictures…….and then we left for Hotel Classic Residency.

We had our dinner there and left immediately for sarahan……a village in Himachal Pradesh…….We traveled by bus overnight and reached sarahan the next day in the morning at 9am…….In sarahan we checked into hotel The Srikhand….(I know the name is funny……) which was himachal Pradesh tourism’s hotel…..We tenth std. boys were given horrible dormitories to stay in…..The worst part was that the bathroom and the toilet was hideously yuck……….! Then the next day we went to a small mountain for trekking….we also went to a shrine of goddess Bhimakali……The temple was so beautiful………the carvings, the architecture was so magnificent…..

The next day we left for Chaura…….a village which was 17kms away from sarahan…….And we went there by walking……The trek to chaura was amazing…..on our way we came across my waterfalls…….We got a casualty too…..shrushti vora….some girl from 7th std. got a ligament tear……so she was carried by suri sir, kush, rahul, fr.russel………..I really pity rahul as he had to carry a her ( not to forget…….shrushti’s weight was about 70-80kgs…….though she told us that her weight was 54kgs…..!) Dhwani, Ruchita, Shivani and I got so frustrated with that  shrushti…so we made a plot to push her of the cliff….but that was not possible…...So finally we reached chaura……we were supposed to stay in chaura…..but due to some elections thing we had to move to sangla valley immediately……..We went to sangla by bus and reached at 10:30pm……..and yeah it was our base camp………We stayed in the tents there……..rahul had got a tent which had a bathroom and toilet in it……whoa…..! and my tent was a regular tent….:( But my tent was the hot happening one cause we used to have a lot of fun……..so finally rahul sifted to my tent……:) ☺☺☺…… But suraj really irritated me to the core……....the food there was okay….except for the noodles which were inedible but still we were forced to eat……….! I also went to greeshma’s tent……..with rahul and atharva……I had a lot of fun there listening to ghost stories, playing cards, laughing on silliest things……and I also learnt a new dance……Bob The Builder dance………which was a creation of greeshma, sana……etc……and all other people of their group………..

Then we went to chhitkul….the last village on the Indian side……coz after that was Tibet……the trek was pretty exhausting……we almost went to the altitude of about 8000 feet…….! There we played in the snow…..and to add to it….it started snowing………

We again went to a small trek of 12kms in a day or two……….The whole camping experience was beyond my expectations……….! Then we left for chandigarh again and checked into Hotel Classic Residency……The room we got this time was awesome……we had got a TV too…..we didn’t sleep the whole night…..n yeah the whole trip I was irritating rahul…..actually teasing not irritating……..

We boarded our train to panvel on 13th May…..and reached vashi on 14th May at 2pm……We had a small prayer service……and then we were asked to go home……Actually no one wanted to go home as we would miss everyone……..

My this trip was really wonderful……..it is said that “Someimes life is all about the journey and not the destination”……….and now I find it true coz…..I met many new people…..made new friends with whom I made special bonds which I’ll remember for my lifetime………! Its not the destination which matters but the people you come across in the journey and the experience which you get by interacting and coming close to  them. I’d like to thank all my friends both old and new……for being by my side during my experience for a lifetime………!!!
